April is Distracted Driver Awareness Month so this is a good time to remind your dental laboratory drivers of this information and provide specific health & safety training.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published that in 2019 distracted driving killed 3,142 people which was a 10% increase from 2018.  Distractions while driving can include texting, talking on phone or to others in the car, setting navigation, eating or drinking, applying makeup, and other tasks that take the driver away from their focus of driving. Employers who employ drivers should promote Distracted Driver Awareness month by providing information about safe driving responsibilities.

How to Properly Train Dental Lab Drivers on Health & Safety: SafeLink Consulting now offers a new 30-minute online course for specifically training dental laboratory drivers.  Take Online Course: Charting a Course to Safety Success Dental Lab Driver Training
