In the one-hour session Gary Morgan will present he will provide clear, practical regulatory updates on OSHA and FDA requirements, as well as new state dental laboratory registration requirements that may impact your operations, documentation, and training. He will explain how these changes affect day-to-day activities in the lab, including employee safety, documentation of processes, recordkeeping, and communication with customers and prescribers.
Gary will also review recent updates to HIPAA regulations and discuss how they relate to protecting patient information within a dental lab environment. This includes expectations for safeguarding protected health information (PHI), managing electronic records, and coordinating with dental practices that send cases and patient data to your laboratory. Real-world examples will be used to illustrate common compliance gaps and practical steps labs can take to strengthen their programs.
